Policies

Reservations
· Reservations can be guaranteed with a 25% non-refundable deposit.
No refunds granted for early returns.
· All Rates are US Dollar.

Check-Out/Check-In
· All customers will be required to participate in a Check-Out process
before departing Gryphon Bikes of Maggie Valley. This Check-Out is for
your protection and ours. We will cover basic orientation to the
motorcycle and it’s save operation, local laws, and customer’s
responsibilities.

Helmets
· Helmets are provided with all motorcycle rentals. We encourage customers to use their own helmets when ever possible.

Motorcycle Substitution
· Motorcycles, like any machine are subject to periodic maintenance of both the scheduled and unscheduled variety. As such, Gryphon Bikes of Maggie Valley reserves the right to substitute the motorcycle confirmed to a rental customer. Should Gryphon Bikes of Maggie Valley not be able to provide the confirmed motorcycle, a similar or better model will be provided to the Customer. If one is not available, all deposits will be refunded. This represents the total liability of Gryphon Bikes of Maggie Valley.

Fuel
· Fuel costs are Customer’s responsibility. A full tank will be provided upon customer’s departure and billed on the Rental Agreement.

Maintenance
· The customer is responsible for checking engine oil levels at each refueling and reporting mechanical failures immediately. Customers may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in motorcycle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance.

Driver Requirements
· All drivers must be 25 years or older, and must posses a valid drivers license containing a proper motorcycle endorsement.

Additional Drivers
· Additional drivers incur a $35.00 charge, maximum of 2.
· Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 25
· All other restrictions, endorsements, etc. apply to additional drivers.

Restrictions
· Violation of restrictions void all insurance coverage purchased resulting in the customer assuming full responsibility for liability and/or damages.
· Gryphon Bikes of Maggie Valley’s motorcycles are not allowed on gravel roads, "logging" or other non-public roads. A complete set of restrictions is provided in the rental agreement’s terms and conditions found on the reverse of the rental agreement.

Security Deposits
· A security deposit of $1,000 will be required at pick-up (Authorization Only). Security deposit must be processed via Master Card or Visa.
· If a motorcycle is returned damaged, regardless of how minor, the security deposit will not be refunded until such time that all damage is repair and full costs are known.

Insurance
· Customers will be required to purchase secondary insurance at the time of their rental. Cost of the insurance is $18.00 for the first day, $15 per day thereafter. This insurance does not remove your responsibility for liability, damage, theft etc.
· An optional collision damage waiver (CDW) is also available for $25 a day to a maximum of $40 on multi-day rentals. The purchase of the CDW limits your damage liability to $1,000.
